Social Responsibility

Villa Appiani promotes initiatives related to environmental, social and economic sustainability, with activities concerning the management of the property, guest relations and engagement with the local community.

The property has obtained the DCA ESG Sustainability certification issued by Dream & Charme, an organisation accredited by Accredia. The assessment confirmed compliance with 6 of the 9 areas covered by the certification model:

• Human rights, labour relations and working conditions
• Health and safety
• Customer, user and consumer management
• Management practices
• Local community involvement and development
• Data protection and cybersecurity

On the social side, Villa Appiani supports CasAmica ODV, which has been providing accommodation for patients and their families who need to stay away from home to receive medical treatment for over thirty years. The hotel's support includes contributing to the association's projects and promoting awareness of its activities.

CasAmica operates four accommodation facilities in Milan, with around 100 beds in total, and has expanded its activities to Lecco and Rome with the support of numerous volunteers.

Villa Appiani also participates in the Punti Viola project promoted by DonneXStrada, providing a publicly accessible safe space and trained staff able to offer initial support and direct people to appropriate services when they find themselves in potentially unsafe situations.
